April Showers
I know it’s supposed to rain in April, but I’m pretty sure snow, sleet and torrential rain are not on the expected weather list. Still I am finally moved into my new home where I recently saw a red squirrel in my back garden and it was beautiful.
Everything is in the wrong place in the new house and it’s going to take some time to figure out where things go, but we’ll get there. I’m desperate to get my dishwasher plumbed in, with all the cooking I do I make my way through a ridiculous amount of dishes.
But I’m also desperate to have a desk again, for the last few months I’ve been working at my kitchen table. And whilst it might be a while until my writing study is ready I should have a desk set up in a corner of my living room soon.
Recently I’ve been writing on my commute to the office, I’m now travelling by bus instead of train and it takes about twice as long as it did from the old place. Writing on a bus though does add an element of extreme sport to what is otherwise quite a safe activity. You always need to have more of a hold on your laptop, just in case the driver takes the next bend like he thinks he’s a racing car driver.
Now, I know it’s been a bit all quiet on the writing stuff for a little while, moving and life, along with a delay with edits have all caused a bit of a backlog. I am, still writing and I am hoping to get the new Rowan book to you soon, watch this space. Literally this space, because this is where it will be announced first.
This year I decided that I wanted to celebrate other excellent authors and so every month I’ve been sharing books and authors that I enjoy and admire.
