Be the first to see...
Happy New Year my crime fiction fans. I hope you all had a splendid festive period. I intended entering the year with a renewed vigour for social media but instead entered it with Covid so the social media remained on hiatus.
Maybe you’ve begun 2024 with a spring in your step and a list of achievable resolutions. Or maybe like me you’ve sort of stumbled in and are hoping for the best. I do have goals though and as always they’re a moveable feast and quite stretching.
Why do I set stretching goals you ask? Because then it helps me to achieve that little bit more. Who knows though maybe 2024 will be the year I finally achieve everything on the list.
Books, glorious books
As always I am sharing with you, my wonderful newsletter readers first. I have the cover of my next book in my Rowan McFarlane series Dead At The Start.
Publication date is still to be confirmed, but again you’ll be the first to know.
What am I working on now?
Good question. There’s still a bit of work to be done to get Dead at the Start ready for publication and that’s going to take centre stage in my writing activities.
Then I have an exciting idea for book 6 which I will hopefully get into writing in early February. My aim this year is to try to do everything faster - with the intention that I’ll bring you more books, but it’s early days so watch this space.
What am I reading?
I deep in non fiction at the moment with Maggots, Murder and Men by Dr Zakaria Erzinclioglu. All about forensic entomology and I’m finding it fascinating.
Next Month…
As I’m still recovering from Covid I’m not going to make too many predictions about the coming month, but needless to say it’s unlikely it’ll be all hearts and roses, more like murder and mayhem.
