Jingle the Bells it's December
It honestly doesn’t seem real that another whole year has almost passed, but I’m going to save all my reminiscing for the New Years letter.
Christmas can be a really exciting time of the year, but it can also be stressful and gift buying can be challenging - this is a quick reminder that books make fabulous gifts, you’re giving a world of excitement and they’re super easy to wrap - what’s not to love.
What Have I Been Up to in November
I went on holiday - a nice wee trip up to Stonehaven, Granton-on-Spey and Nairn. It was lovely to be away in our wee camper van - we haven’t got away nearly as much as we used to this year due to my operation.
Whilst I was away I had a great idea for book six in the Rowan series
What She Didn’t See - Book 3 in the Rowan McFarlane Detective Mysteries came out into the world and if you haven’t had the chance to get yourself a copy go ahead and click on the link and do it now:
There were some lovely family and friends get togethers in November too and on top of that I made significant progress on book 5
Also due to popular demand I have released Discarded in paperback - this is only a short prequel novella and originally I’d only intended to have it as an ebook, however since publication I’ve been asked when the paperback is coming and since so many of you want this format I’ve made that available now and I hope you enjoy adding it to your collection.
And in addition to that lot I continued tiktoking.
What Have I Been Reading
I’ve just finished Fatal Justice by Sally Rigby this was the second in the series I started last month. There’s not been a lot of other fiction reads for me as I’ve been doing a fair bit of non-fiction/research reading
News From the Coast
I’ve done quite a bit more walking this month, and now that my new hip is well bedded in I’m finding myself able to walk for longer than I have in a good while.
Between you and me I’m a bit apprehensive about the prospect of ice - falling is definitely something I need to avoid at all costs these days and I can be a bit clumsy.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and has the opportunity to relax, just a little. I for one this year am trying to ignore the crazy commercialisation of the season and concentrate of thoughtful gift giving - and yes a lot of those gifts will be books.
